Description

This is a row of three early to mid-19th century pairs of houses, and a half-pair, forming a group at numbers 61 to 73 Mapledene Road. Each house has two storeys and a basement, with a two-window front. The central window is wider and is set beneath a pediment, while the outer window is in a narrower bay containing the entrance. A cornice and pediment sit atop three giant stucco pilasters. The basement is stuccoed. Sash windows with glazing bars are set within gauged flat brick arches. Above the paired four-panel doors, which have rectangular fanlights, are round arches set within stuccoed entablature surrounds.
