Description

No 70 on Forest Road is an early to mid-19th century house made of stucco, standing two storeys tall. It features two windows in the main block beneath a low-pitched hipped slate roof, which has an eaves soffit. There is a one-window entrance extension that is set back, complete with a cornice band and parapet that connects it to No 68. The house has sash windows with glazing bars; those in the main block are framed by moulded architraves and have console bracketed cornices on the ground floor. The entrance door consists of three wide panels and is flanked by fluted quadrant pilasters, topped with a cornice head and a patterned elliptical fanlight. Nos 62 to 70 (even) are part of a group, along with the wall in front of the left part of No 62.
