Description

This is an early to mid-19th century terrace of six houses, numbered 53 to 59 Mapledene Road. Each house is two storeys high with an attic, and has two windows. The houses are built of stock brick with a stucco frieze and cornice. They have a slated mansard roof with dormers. The ground floor is stuccoed with incised lines, and there's a cill band to the first floor. Stucco surrounds the first-floor windows. The ground-floor windows are round-headed sashes with glazing bars, while the doors have been modernised and feature patterned fanlights. The houses are included in the listing for their group value, together with numbers 73.
