Description
This is an early to mid-19th century terrace comprised of eight houses, numbered 1 to 8. Each house is three storeys high with a basement, and features two windows, though the outer houses have a slightly recessed, two-storey entrance bay. The houses are constructed of stock brick with a rusticated stucco ground floor, forming voussoirs around the window and door openings. These openings are segment-headed, except for those in the outer houses, which are round-arched. A band runs along the second-floor cills, and the building is topped by an entablature with a modillion cornice and blocking course. The roof is slate and includes dormers. Most windows are sash windows with glazing bars. Upper-floor windows are situated under flat, gauged brick arches, while those on the first floor are set within stucco entablatures with console bracketed cornices. The two outer houses have triangular pediments, and the two central houses have segmental pediments. Full-width balconies with patterned cast iron railings are present. Steps lead to four-panel doors recessed within a round-arched opening, each topped with a cornice and a plain fanlight.
