Description
Nos 208 and 210 on Queensbridge Road E8 are an early to mid-19th century pair of large houses, each with two storeys and a basement, and one window. They feature a fairly low-pitched hipped roof covered with slate and have an eaves soffit. The buildings are constructed of stock brick, with brick pilasters at the corners and framing a blank centre bay, which support a stuccoed frieze with brackets above the pilasters at the eaves. Notably, No 208 has lost its brackets. There is a cill band on the first floor below the pilasters. The window architraves are moulded, with No 208 having casement windows, while No 210 has sash windows with glazing bars. On the ground floor, there is a pulvinated frieze, cornice, and pediment above the windows. The basement is stuccoed, and there are five steps leading up to classical porches that form the outer entrance bays, each featuring a four-panel door. Nos 204 to 212 (even) form a group.
