Description
Nos 139 and 141 North Marine Road are a pair of buildings dating from around 1830 to 1840. They stand four tall storeys high with a basement, constructed of red brick featuring stucco quoins and block sill courses. The buildings have a stucco frieze and a moulded eaves cornice. Each building has two windows, with four-storey canted bays on the left and right sides, respectively. The sash lights have intact glazing bars, and the windows are framed with stucco surrounds and rustication in the aprons. No 139 includes a Doric columned porch with an entablature, while No 141 features an engaged Doric column doorcase with an entablature. Both doors consist of four moulded panels and have semi-circular fanlights. The sea front also has similar canted bays.
