Description
Nos 21 and 22 Albion Square, built in the early to mid-19th century, are a pair of two-storey buildings with basements and three windows each. They feature low pitched hipped slate roofs with eaves soffits and are constructed of stock brick. The first-floor sash windows have moulded stucco architraves and glazing bars. The ground floor has long casement windows with flat surrounds, console bracketed cornices, projecting sills, and cast iron guards. Access to the buildings is via seven steps leading to four-panel doors, which are topped with rectangular fanlights and set in prostyle porches with square columns. Notably, the porch of No 21 has an unusually tall parapet instead of the typical entablature. Nos 13 to 22 form a cohesive group.
