Description

This is an early to mid-19th century pair of buildings, numbered 17 and 18 Albion Square. Each building is two storeys high with an attic and basement, and has three windows. They have a slated mansard roof with dormers. The buildings are constructed of stock brick with an altered stucco frieze, cornice, and blocking course. The central recess and the outer bays slightly project. The sash windows have glazing bars and are set within flat stucco surrounds with cornices and bracketed cills. A flight of seven steps leads to a four-panel door recessed within a prostyle porch featuring square columns. Nos 13 to 22 Albion Square form a group.
