Description
Nos 25 and 26 Albion Square, built in the early to mid 19th century, are a pair of two-storey buildings with a basement, each featuring two windows. They are constructed of stock brick, with the central bays being narrower and recessed. The buildings have a fairly low-pitched slated roof with an eaves soffit. The outer bays are adorned with angle pilasters that have stuccoed capitals, supporting a brick frieze. The basement is banded in stucco. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are framed with moulded architraves; on the ground floor, these windows feature a console bracketed cornice and a projecting cill. No 26 also includes a balustraded balcony. Both buildings have paired four-panel doors (one of which is a reproduction) set in an entablature, leading up nine steps with pierced side walls. They are part of a group with Nos 23 to 30 Albion Square.
