Description
23 and 24 Albion Square is an early to mid-19th century pair of houses, each three storeys high with a basement. They feature one window in the main outer block and one in a narrower central entrance bay made of set brick. The buildings are constructed from stock brick and have a fairly low-pitched hipped slate roof that is broken back over the central bay. The eaves soffit is supported by paired brackets. There are string courses on the first and second floors. The sash windows have glazing bars and are set within segment-headed moulded architraves on the second floor, while the first and ground floors have flat surrounds with console bracketed cornices. The central paired quasi-classical porches have round-arched entrances and hold four-panel doors. These houses are part of a group with Nos 23 to 30 Albion Square.
