Description
Numbers 3 to 9 on Jeffrey's Street are two pairs of linked semi-detached houses built in the early 19th century. They feature stucco fronts with brick returns and have slated pitched roofs topped with central tall slab chimney-stacks. The houses are two storeys high with basements and have three windows, with the central bays being blind. The entrances are located in round-arched side porticoes, which are connected by a central blind arch to create arcaded screens. The doorways are square-headed with reeded jambs, cornice-heads, and panelled doors. The windows are recessed sashes, and the gable ends have moulded coping and a plain band that forms pediments. The attached cast-iron railings with urn finials provide additional decorative features to the areas in front of the houses. The interiors have not been inspected.
