Description
The memorial drinking fountain to Joseph Salter was created around 1876-1877. It is made of granite and stands approximately 2.1 meters tall. The fountain has a square shape with chamfered corners that lead to a moulded capstone. It is set on a low octagonal base consisting of two steps. On the north side, there is a bowl and tap supported by an attached colonnette, while the south side lacks a colonnette and the tap has been removed. An inscription on the north face reads "Joseph Salter 1832-1876." This fountain is part of a group that includes the K2 telephone kiosk to the south and the listed houses in St Pancras Way.
