Description

Two semi-detached houses, originally numbers 44 and 46 Kentish Town Road, built in the early 19th century and partly rebuilt in a facsimile style between 1971 and 1972. The property at number 46, Kentish Town Road, also incorporates flats 1B, C, D and E in Jeffrey’s Street, and the rear of the former number 44 forms numbers 1 and 1A Jeffrey’s Street. The houses are constructed of stucco, with a rusticated ground floor and a plain first-floor band. Number 46 has three storeys and basements and features four windows, while the gabled end of the former number 44 has three windows. Number 46 has a round-arched doorway with a fluted surround, an intersecting tracery fanlight, and a panelled door; the former doorway in the left-hand bay has been converted into a window. The windows are recessed sash windows. There is a parapet with moulded coping. The former number 44 has a square-headed doorway with a fanlight and a panelled door, and also has recessed sash windows. The gable has moulded coping. The interiors were not inspected.
