Description
Numbers 1 and 1A are a pair of semi-detached houses located on Jeffrey's Street, dating from the early 19th century. The buildings were partly rebuilt in a facsimile style between 1971 and 1972. They are constructed of stucco, featuring a rusticated ground floor and a plain band on the first floor. The houses rise three storeys and include a basement, with three windows visible on the front facade. The round-arched doorway has a fluted surround, a fanlight with intersecting tracery, and a panelled door. The windows are recessed sashes, and the building is topped with a parapet that has moulded coping. The interior has not been inspected. An attached blind arcaded wall with moulded coping is located to the right, creating a screen with the side portico of No. 3.
