Description
Numbers 156 and 158 are a pair of semi-detached houses dating from the early 19th century. They are built of yellow brick with a moulded stucco blocking course. The houses are three storeys high and have two bays each, plus two-storey, one-bay entrance extensions projecting outwards. The ground-floor openings are round-arched, with six-panelled doors set in stucco-lined reveals. These doorways have mutule cornice heads and plain fanlights above them. The ground-floor sash windows are also set in round-arched recesses. The first and second floor windows are sash windows with four panes, set within flat, gauged-brick arches. The interior has not been inspected. The property includes cast-iron area railings. Numbers 156 and 158 are part of a group with numbers 152 to 166 (even).
