Description
No. 55 Kentish Town Road is a detached villa built in the early 19th century and restored around 1979. It features yellow stock brick and a slated pitched roof with pitched dormers. The building is double fronted with three windows and has two storeys, an attic, and a semi-basement. At the corners, stucco pilasters rise from the ground floor to support an entablature with an egg-and-dart ovolo cornice at the eaves. There is a central prostyle portico with a doorway that has a fanlight and a panelled door, which is accessed by steps and flanked by attached cast-iron railings. The recessed sashes on the ground floor are architraved and feature console bracketed cornices along with cast-iron balconies. The interior has not been inspected.
