Description

No. 12 Keats Grove is a detached villa dating from approximately 1818. The building is constructed of stucco and has a slated pitched roof with dormers. It is three storeys high, with an attic and a semi-basement. The front facade features two windows, plus a single-storey recessed entrance extension to the left.

A segmental-arched doorway is positioned centrally, featuring paired half columns in antis, a radial patterned fanlight, and a panelled door, approached by steps. Twin segmental bowed bays extend through the semi-basement and first floor, each floor having three windows. The semi-basement windows are sash windows separated by pilasters, while the ground floor windows are casements separated by attached colonnettes. The bays support bracketed cast-iron balconies to the first-floor casements, set within shallow round-arched recesses linked at impost level. The interior of the building was not inspected.
