Description
No. 16 Prince Albert Road is a semi-detached villa dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of stucco and features a slated hipped roof with projecting console bracketed eaves. The building stands three storeys high with a basement and has three windows on its facade facing Prince Albert Road.
A distinctive feature is the distyle-in-antis Ionic side portico, which includes a fanlight and a panelled door. A cornice runs around the building at the first-floor level. The windows are architraved sashes, and to the left, there is a projecting bay with a large tripartite window on the first floor, framed by pilasters that support a shallow pediment. The first-floor windows on the right are complemented by a continuous cast-iron balcony. The villa also has tall slab chimney-stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
