Description

REGENT'S CANAL TQ 2883 NW 6/8 Footbridge to W of Cumberland footbridge, Regent's Park II GV Footbridge over Regent's Canal. Mid C19. Single span, slightly cambered, cast iron girder bridge. Decorative pattern of iron circles of diminishing size in spandrels. Open parapet of iron railings with square panels of decorative ironwork. Rusticated stone piers backed by brick abutments with stone coping. Main girders inscribed with manufacturer's name in raised lettering; R.MASEFIELD & CO FOUNDERS/MANOR IRON WORKS/CHELSEA.
