Description
Haggerston Bridge is a public road bridge over the Regent's Canal, built between 1816 and 1820, with later alterations. It features a single span elliptical arch made of brick, along with a brick band, solid parapet, and piers. The west parapet has stone coping, while the cast parapet has brick coping. The parapets were partly rebuilt in the late 19th century. Iron rope fenders are attached to the edges of the arch on the towpath side. The Regent's Canal was constructed from 1812 to 1820 by James Morgan and supervised by John Nash.
