Description
Numbers 3 and 4 Clifton Wood Road are a pair of attached houses dating from the late 18th century. They are constructed of stucco and render with limestone dressings, featuring lateral chimney stacks and a pantile double-pile roof. The houses are arranged over three main floors, an attic, and a basement, and have a two-window frontage.
The design is of a late Georgian style, and the pair presents a symmetrical facade with a prominent cornice and parapet. The doorways are framed by architraves, thin brackets and pediments. Number 3 has a six-panel door with a glazed upper section, and sash windows with 6/6 panes, with horns. The attic windows are 3/3-pane sashes. Number 4 features a 20th-century door and casement windows. Hipped dormers are located on either side of the roofs. The interior of the properties has not been inspected.
Attached to the basement areas are cast-iron railings and gates, topped with urn finials that contribute to the building's appearance.
