Description
Fairfold House is an attached house located on Constitution Hill in Clifton, Bristol. It was built in 1727 and altered in the late 18th century. The building is roughcast with a left-hand lateral stack and a pantile hipped roof, featuring a double-depth plan and designed in the Mid Georgian style. It stands three storeys high with an attic and has a five-window range. The symmetrical front has a parapet and a late 18th-century doorway that includes an architrave, a bracketed pediment, and a six-panel door, with the top pair being glazed. The windows are horned 6/6-pane sashes set in exposed frames, with a segmental-headed window above the doorway and 3/3-pane sashes on the second floor. There is a single hipped dormer with casements and a single ground-floor sash on the right return. Inside, there is a central hall and stairway, along with fireplaces.
