Description
10 and 11 Downsire Hill are a pair of semi-detached villas built in the early 19th century. They are constructed of stucco and feature hipped slated roofs with projecting eaves and a tall central slab chimney-stack. The buildings rise three storeys plus a semi-basement, each having two windows and recessed entrance extensions. The doorways are square-headed and include overlights and panelled doors, which are accessed by steps with cast-iron balustrades. The ground floor has round-arched casements set in shallow round-arched recesses, linked by impost bands, and features wrought-iron balconies. The first floor has casements with console-bracketed cornices and wrought-iron balconies, while the third floor has sash windows. The interiors have not been inspected.
