Description
No. 49, Downshire Hill is an early 19th-century detached house situated in a garden below road level, accessed via a first-floor entrance. The house is stuccoed and has hipped slated roofs. It comprises a three-storey, single-window central section flanked by two-storey, single-window side wings. A 20th-century tunnel portico extension is situated on the road-facing side, between two pilaster strips and featuring a 20th-century casement window with margin glazing. Similar windows are present in the side wings. The interiors have not been inspected.
