Description
Further Hill Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 16th century, with an early 17th century wing to the east, creating an L-shaped plan. The building is timber framed and plastered, with some areas covered in colourwashed brick. The roof is partly covered with plain tiles and partly with pantiles. It has two storeys and an attic, featuring a three-cell main range with a cross passage entry. The farmhouse has various 19th and 20th century casement windows, and on the west side of the main range at first floor level, there is an oriel window that has been plastered over. A mid-20th century half-glazed door leads to the later wing. Inside, there is an internal stack in the main range and a gable end stack in the later wing, along with some exposed framing and newel stairs in the main range.
