Description
Laurel Farmhouse is a farmhouse with a main range dating from the 16th century and a rear wing that is probably from the early 17th century. It has an L-shaped plan and is constructed with a timber frame and plaster, topped with a thatched roof. The building is two storeys high and features a three-cell plan. The front has a three-window range with three-light casements on the upper floor and a five-light casement with leaded glass on the ground floor. There is a doorway with a boarded door and an internal stack with a moulded brick base. The rear of the main range retains original mullion windows at the first floor level. Inside, there is notable exposed timberwork, an arched head to a blocked north doorway, and a first-floor fireplace with a four-centre brick arch.
