Description
Valley Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 16th century, with the right part of the main range being the earlier section. A later wing is set forward to the left, creating an L-shaped plan. The building was restored in the mid-20th century. It features a timber frame with modern roughcast render and a pantiled roof that is hipped on the main range. The farmhouse has two storeys, with windows that are mostly mid-20th century casements, although there is one original mullioned window on the tiled front and another at the rear. The entrance has a mid-20th century doorcase with pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice, leading to a six-panel door. Inside, there is an internal stack in the main range and a gable end stack in the left-hand wing. The interior has been modernised but retains exposed timbering, and the earlier section features a queen post roof.
