Description

Grove Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 16th to 17th century, constructed in two phases, with the right-hand end being the earlier section. The building is timber framed and plastered, topped with a modern plain tile roof. It has two storeys and an attic, featuring a two-cell form. There are three windows, primarily large-paned casements from the mid-20th century, which have imitation leadwork on the ground floor. The entrance is a lobby with a mid-20th century door, and there is an internal stack. A lean-to addition is located on the right side, with mid-20th century modifications at the rear. The earlier section of the farmhouse includes a queen post roof. A service range at the back was demolished in the 1960s.
