Description

Moat Farm is a farmhouse dating from the 16th century, possibly built in two phases. It features a timber frame with modern textured render and a thatched roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, arranged in a three-cell form with a cross passage entry. There are four windows, primarily 19th century large-paned casements, and a mid-20th century door. The farmhouse has an internal stack and a small stack at the right-hand gable end, along with a lean-to dairy addition on the left side.

Inside, the farmhouse retains some exposed timbering and a newel staircase with a finial on the newel post. Two doors on the first floor appear to be made from 17th-century panelling. The property is situated on a moated site.
