Description
Poplar Farmhouse is a late 16th and early 17th century timber-framed and plastered farmhouse with a thatched roof. It is a two-storey and attic building with an original two-cell plan, and a single-storey lean-to dairy addition to the right. The farmhouse has two windows on the front elevation, with mid-20th century casements to the ground floor and 18th-to-19th century four-light casements to the first floor. There are two doorways; the right-hand doorway has a gabled hood and leads to a plank door, while the left-hand doorway has a gabled hood and a four-panel door. A central internal stack is present, featuring an inset panel at the front and rear.
