Description
The Old Jolly Farmers is a former farmhouse that was later used as a public house. It dates from the late 16th century and features a timber-framed structure with plaster and a pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, arranged in a three-cell form. On the ground floor, there are mid 20th century small-paned casement windows, two of which are bowed. A lean-to entrance porch with a mid 20th century boarded door provides access. Inside, there is an internal stack, and much of the timber framing is exposed, particularly on the first floor. The hall and service end have plain joists, and there is a newel staircase. The roof consists of a single row of clasped purlins and a ridge piece.
