Description

South Cottage is a 17th-century farmhouse. It is timber-framed with plastered walls, and the right-hand gable end is weatherboarded, with a thatched roof. The building originally comprised two rooms, with a single-storey 18th-century dairy addition to the right. It features two windows, which are 19th-century three-light casements. A gabled thatched porch sits to the left, and there's a 20th-century boarded entrance door with carved decoration. An internal stack is present. The interior retains the original timber frame and a newel staircase.
