Description

West House is a house that dates from the late 16th century to early 17th century, with many alterations and a facade from the early to mid-19th century. The original structure has been extended by about 2 meters towards the road. It is timber framed and plastered, with a colourwashed brick end facing the road and a pantiled roof. The house has two storeys and an attic, featuring three sash windows with glazing bars in flush frames. There is a lobby entrance with a 19th-century flat-roofed porch, wide double three-panel doors, a reeded architrave with corner roundels, and a modillion cornice. The building has one internal stack and one gable end stack. The interior has been modernised, but a small amount of timber framing is still visible in the rear wall.
