Description
Corner House is a house dating to the later 16th century. It is timber-framed and plastered, with a roof tiled in concrete double Roman tiles to the front and pantiles to the rear. The house is two storeys high. It has various casement windows. The lobby entrance features a mid-19th century doorcase with reeded pilasters, a frieze and cornice, and a mid-20th century half-glazed door. An internal stack is present. Inside, there are some exposed joists and framing, along with a cambered tie beam. Later additions have been made to the east and south; the southern addition connects to a single-storey range of former cottages now used for storage. The building possesses group value from this arrangement.
