Description
The Old Prince, Jasmine House, and Beech House is a former inn that has been divided into three dwellings. The core of the building likely dates back to the 16th century, while the main block was rebuilt in the early 19th century. The older part, located on the right side, has been much altered and features a timber frame with plaster and a pantiled roof. The main block has a white brick facade with colorwashed red brick returns and a slated roof.
The building is two storeys high with an asymmetrical seven-bay facade. The windows are more closely spaced on the left side, and the quoins and central entrance bay are slightly set forward. It has sash windows with glazing bars in flush frames and flat brick arches, with one blank panel on the first floor. The entrance is located within a slightly inset semi-circular headed recess, featuring double three-panel doors and a semi-circular fanlight with glazing bars, both set within panelled reveals. The entrance is adorned with a reeded architrave and corner roundels. The central first floor window is set within a segmental-arched recess, and the building has wide overhanging eaves supported by paired brackets. To the left side, there is a former stable block that is now part of The Old Prince.
