Description

The Thatched Cottage is a house dating from the early 17th century, which was restored in the mid-20th century. It features a timber frame with plaster and a thatched roof, standing two stories tall with an attic. The layout consists of three cells. The cottage has some original mullioned windows, along with others that were added in the mid-20th century to match the original style, and there are also some 19th-century casement windows. At the front, there is a 19th-century colourwashed brick and pantiled lean-to, which includes a boarded half-door. Inside, there is an internal stack with three sawtooth flues that were rebuilt in the mid-20th century, and the interior framing and joists are exposed.
