Description
This building is a house known as The Hoppits, located at 8 Park Lane, and dates from the 17th century or early 18th century. It has a timber frame that is covered externally with 19th-century red brick, while the northern wing is roughcast. The house features a steep old red tile roof, which was formerly thatched, and has a half-hipped design. It is a small rectangular structure with one and a half storeys, facing south, and includes a short northern wing. The roof has one gabled dormer, and there are two windows below it. The windows are three-light cast iron casements with elongated hexagonal panes, and there are segmental arches above the lower windows. Inside, the timber framing is exposed.
