Description
Lower Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, constructed with a timber frame and featuring old red brick infill, along with early 19th-century red and buff brick casing. The building has a thatched roof, a central grouped chimney from the 19th century, and a projecting chimney from the 18th century at the right-hand end. It is 1½ storeys high and includes two eaves dormers with 2-light sliding casements. The ground floor has two 3-light wood casements, one 2-light wood casement, and a plain door, all set under segmental arches. The east gable displays exposed framing. At the rear, there is a small single-storey red brick outhouse. Inside the house, the ground floor features exposed ceiling beams.
