Description

This small barn, located north of Lower Farm on the north side of the yard in Buckland, dates back to the 18th century. It features a timber frame, is weather boarded, and has a tiled roof. Inside, there are some older re-used tie beams and braces supporting the wall posts. The barn has queen post trusses, which were mostly renewed in the 19th century. Attached to the west end is a lower open-fronted cartshed that is at right angles to the barn. The rear wall is made of brick, and it also has a tiled roof. This building is included for its group value.
