Description

Barclays Bank is a house that has been converted into a bank, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of grey gault brick and features a slated roof with wide eaves cornice supported by paired brackets. The building is two storeys high and two windows wide, with a door located on the left side and a wider upper window on the right. It is contemporary with the adjacent property at No 46. The upper windows are recessed sash windows with gauged flat arches, featuring 6/6 and 8/8 panes. The round-headed doorway has a recessed pilastered doorcase and a radial fanlight above. There is also a discreet 20th-century canted bay window that is recessed into the front right of the building.
