Description
No. 11 on The Street in Braughing is a house with a lean-to shop, now functioning as a single residence. It dates from the 18th century, with a 19th-century shop extension. The building features a timber frame that is plastered, topped with an old red tiled roof, while the lean-to has a pantiled roof. The house has a two-room layout with end chimneys and faces east. It is two storeys high and three windows wide, with internal gable chimneys, each containing one flue. The windows are flush box sash style with 8/8 panes. The entrance has a battened door set in a moulded frame, complete with drip boards above the door and ground floor windows. At the northern end, there is a plastered single-storey lean-to shop extension.
