Description
Chequers is a house located 50 meters north of the Parish Church in Epping Upland. It was built in the mid-18th century and features a square plan constructed of red brick with a hipped roof covered in red plain tiles. The house is two storeys high and has a three-window range of 19th-century vertical sliding sashes with glazing bars. The sash window on the ground floor to the right includes sidelights. The central doorway is topped with a simple flat canopy supported by brackets and has moulded architraves. There are original and later red brick chimney stacks, and a 20th-century extension has been added to the north. The address has been amended to Upland Road.
