Description

The White Horse Public House is a late 18th century establishment that incorporates a 17th century house. It features a timber frame that is partly brick and is all plastered, topped with a roof made of red plain tiles and grey slate. The building stands two storeys high and is positioned as a corner block with a return facing High Street. The front has a four-window range of late 19th century vertical sliding sashes, along with two blind recesses above the doors. The return section has a three-window range of vertical sliding sashes that come with external shutters. The property retains original red brick chimney stacks as well as a 19th century yellow stock brick chimney stack. Inside, the front range shows remnants of 17th century framing, while the rear features 18th century detailing.
