Description

Dowsetts House is a house dating from the late 16th century. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, topped with a red plain tile gambrel roof. The building has two storeys and attics, with a lean-to structure at the rear. The front features a three-window range of casement windows and three flat-roofed dormers. There are two plain boarded doors, each sheltered by wrought iron hoods. At either end of the house, there are red brick chimney stacks. The property is also enclosed by 19th-century cast iron railings.
