Description

Ship Cottage is a mid-19th century estate cottage located on the north side of High Street, Turvey. It is built of coursed limestone rubble with a slate roof, and has a 2-bay plan. The cottage features gable end red brick chimney stacks. The south elevation has two 2-light casement windows on the first floor, and two 2-light casement windows on the ground floor; the eastern ground floor window is slightly taller. A central doorway is topped by a gabled doorhood supported on two slender timber columns. The building is included on the list for its group value.
