Description

This is a mid-19th century estate cottage, built alongside other cottages in Abbey Square. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with gable end chimney stacks of red brick. The roof is covered with old clay tiles. The house has a two-bay plan and two storeys. The south-facing elevation features a central gable with bargeboards. The upper floor has two two-light casement windows with glazing bars. Below, two similar windows flank a central doorway, which has a pedimented doorhood supported by two slender timber piers.
