Description
Gardeners Cottage is a mid-19th century estate cottage. It is constructed of flint with gault brick dressings and features a slate roof with gabled ends. The building has two storeys and a T-shaped plan. The symmetrical facade consists of three bays, with 3-light casement windows that have glazing bars and four-centred arched heads set in chamfered gault brick surrounds. There are drip moulds over the openings. The central bay is made of brick and includes a gabled porch supported by square corner piers topped with pinnacles. The doorway also has a four-centred arched head. On the ground floor, the casements are located in the gables, and there are small brick-dressed niches at the first floor and attic levels. The cottage features two chimney stacks with twin octagonal shafts, which have moulded tops and bases.
