Description

Meadow Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse constructed of red brick, featuring some patterning with dark headers. It has steeply pitched roofs made of black-glazed and smut pantiles and stands two storeys tall. The main facade has three bays, with the center bay slightly advanced and containing a six-panelled entrance door that has two upper glazed panels. Above the doorway is a lead-covered canopy, and the first floor features a sash window with glazing bars and an architrave. The flanking bays have sash windows with side-lights, while one ground floor window has been replaced by a 20th-century casement. Rubbed brick arches are present over the openings, and there is a brick plat band at the first floor level. The eaves have a parapet with a wooden moulded cornice and a stone band at the base. The gables are parapeted and have internal chimney stacks.

To the north, there is a lower two-storey range with 2-light casements that also have glazing bars, a plat band at the first floor level, and a parapeted north gable with an internal chimney stack. The rear of the main block features catslide extensions, likely built at the same time, which include two cross-casements with leaded glazing, as well as later 2 and 3-light casements with transoms and a later brick chimney.
