Description

Nos. 60 and 60A on High Street is a house that has been converted into a shop with a flat above. It dates from the early 18th century and is constructed of brick that has been colourwashed on the front, topped with a black glazed pantile roof. The building is two storeys high with an attic. The shop front was added in the late 20th century. On the first floor, there are three sash windows that were renewed in the 19th century, featuring glazing bars and set under skewback arches. The eaves are coved, and the gable roof has a stack at the east end. The east gable wall includes one similar sash window, a 20th-century side door leading to the upper flat, and a brick string course at the eaves that crosses a protruding chimney pier.
