Description
The Crown Hotel is an early 19th-century hotel located on Watton High Street. It is constructed of brick and features a pantiled roof. The building has three storeys and is arranged in five bays on a rendered plinth. To the left, there is a doorcase with a timber architrave and an armorial keystone. To the right, four sash windows with glazing bars are set under gauged skewback arches with segmental tops. The window surrounds and keystones are rendered. The first floor has five identical windows, while the second floor has three, with the storeys separated by a rendered string course. Rendered quoins frame the facade on both the right and left sides. The building has an overhanging timber cornice and a gabled roof that is hipped at the east, featuring internal end stacks. Inside, the first-floor dining room is timber framed with studs and arched braces, and there are four ceiling beams.
